BRIEF:
Zibrant LIVE! appointed PSP for a 2-day conference with awards dinner, to be held at ExCel London. The event was to be attended by 500 delegates from across the hospitality, catering and wholesale industries.
PSP were asked to provide technical pre-production and full technical event support across the main plenary and 7 breakout rooms, including all video, lighting, sound and scenic elements.
SOLUTION:
Utilising the client’s branding to develop a unique set design, our in-house graphics team produced a series of 3D visual renders which allowed all parties to envisage how their event would look in various states, throughout the schedule.
The design married an 8m wide x 3.5m high HD 3.2mm LED screen as a central backdrop, with projection mapped scenic pieces, developed from the client’s logo, surrounding the two 5m wide content screens either side. The fusion of the two technologies created a stunning digital canvas, with the flexibility to change the look and feel throughout the day.
Keynote speakers had customised content to support their presentations, created internally at PSP, which when displayed across the whole set, produced an immersive and engaging environment for the delegates to enjoy.
With a short rig time and two full Artics full of equipment, the event required meticulous project planning and an efficient operations procedure.
In total, PSP supplied a total of 10 Christie HD14K projectors, 112 DigiLED 3.2mm panels with a custom ground support system, a Barco E2 screen management system which took control over the video technology, and playback technology from a media server, enabling all content to be synchronised. 3 HD cameras recorded the event and relayed live content to the screens.
The lighting spec consisted of over 60 generic and moving lamps, 15m of set uplighting LED battens and 24 battery uplighters for around the room. The diverse lighting allowed for a real atmospheric transformation when it was time for the evening awards dinner, hosted by Dara O Briain.
PSP also provided full technical support across the 7 breakout rooms and additional communal areas, including set & staging, LED screens, digital signage, audio and lighting.
