For the third year running, PSP were delighted to support Wesleyan on their Annual Conference, this year held in the 10,195 m2 Hall 12 at the NEC Birmingham NEC.

This project has taken almost a full year of careful planning and preparation, with PSP working alongside a Producer. PSP were responsible for the concept, design, content, 3D visuals, CAD plans, technical and scenic management.

The 2019 event was developed around the theme of “Eclipse” which ran as a consistent message throughout.

Prior to the event, PSP produced all theming, logos, PowerPoint design and creation. For the conference, held in Hall 12 for over 1,000 delegates, the main plenary design was based on the idea of an Agora. It consisted of; 4 x 14m x 4.5m super wide screens supported by 4 x 8m x 4.5m screens. A bespoke central stage with sunken comfort screens was added for a more intimate feel. This could also double as a seated discussion area. We also created 3 breakout areas for 500 people for the afternoon sessions, each with a different objective.

Video was run through 4 x 4K Panasonic 20k lasers projectors, 4 x 12k Panasonic projectors with our Barco E2 looking after content management and switching. In the breakout areas we had 3 x 12k Panasonic projectors.

PSP provided all sound and lighting with a selection of high-end equipment including 12 hangs of KARA Line array, 4 in the main plenary, 2 per breakout room and 2 in the foyer.

4 live camera relays with record and autocue on the comfort monitors embedded in the stage, 550 metres of drape, 215m of truss, 67 motors and 36 crew completed the technical set up for Hall 1.

With a range of other ongoing events projects throughout the year, PSP are honoured to continue to support Wesleyan’s internal marketing and communications teams. It won’t be long before we’re already planning the next big one!
