Brief:
PSP were asked to provide full technical support across a 1300m2 marquee erected in the grounds of the prestigious Chesford Grange Hotel.
With a total of 12 days on site from start to finish, the space was to be divided in to 3 areas; a conference suite, a bar area and a seated dinner and entertainment space, all with very individual technical requirements.
Solution:
With 6 months of creative lead time to develop the “Design meets Function” theme for the high-end manufacturers event, agency Distinct Solutions utilised our expertise and facilities at our Birmingham based headquarters to test out ideas, develop CAD plans and determine the most suitable equipment for their high-profile project.
Across the two live show days, 360 VIP guests attended a highly engaging, informative and very memorable event; an experience which both educated and entertained the delegates.
For the plenary conference presentation suite, we created a 270° ‘wrap-around’ presentation wall to display the video and graphics content. This was made up of a total of 14 Christie projectors, seamlessly blended using out Barco E2 screen management system, to create a fully immersive environment. The presenters took to a central stage set within the audience, creating an intimate, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The technical requirements for this space were completed with a high spec audio system using Yamaha and D&B products, and atmospheric lighting utilising Avolites and Chauvet products.
A 10m projection tunnel connected the presentation suite to a bar area, enhancing the event theming and immersing the guests with bespoke video content, powered by 6 projectors and blending technology.
The central bar provided the perfect networking area, where the “Design Meets Function” theme could be enhanced. Within the event collateral, the “Design” elements were highlighted in white and the “Function” in grey. The marquee was split straight sown the middle with Design on one side and Function on the other, allowing the two disciplines to meet at the central bar. In this area, PSP provided a decorative fringe above the bar, with bespoke visual graphics powered by 4 Christie projectors, atmospheric lighting, digital signage and background audio with microphone feed for Voice of God announcements.
The final area created was a classy and luxurious dining area with an entertainment space fit for the ‘Junk Drummers’ to perform, enhanced with PSP’s decadent lighting effects and high spec audio.
